PATHWAY A AND B
Newly opened to the public, two original and restored pathways allow visitors to stroll through parts of Al Jazeera Al Hamra, connecting the fort to the souq area. Along the route, well-preserved house complexes have been restored and can be visited, while the remains of other historic buildings have been consolidated.
Two compounds are of particular visual and architectural interest. One includes a very old summer house with wind catchers, visible by arched niches on the outside. Another complex includes a main building with beautifully designed arched niches above the doors, as well as an intricately decorated separation wall between its living room and bathroom.
